Greg O'Brien is the Co-CEO of Anomaly, focusing on complex planning issues for the company's clients and helping lead the operations and growth. Greg founded Anomaly CPA to specialize in working with entrepreneurial clients who own startups, small businesses, and real estate investors growing into more complex tax and financial issues. His experience includes advanced tax planning and business advisory for a wide array of individuals, start ups and real estate investors. In 2020, Greg was named a Top 5 National Finalist for the Tax Planner of the Year by the AICTC, from a pool of over 850 qualified Tax Planners from across the US and Greg was named the #1 Tax Strategist in the United States by the AICTC in 2023. Specifically, Greg has been a pioneer in working to educate other CPAs and tax accountants on Short Term Rental Taxation and the so called "short term rental loophole". He has a strong passion for being a positive change agent in CPA industry and helping mentor new firm owners.
Based in Boston, he focuses on clients with unique and challenging situations not only in the greater Boston area, but throughout the country. His passion to grow a team virtually has allowed the company to service clients not only in the US, but in other countries as well! Greg graduated from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting where he competed outside the classroom on the gridiron. Greg earned Northeast 10 All Conference honors and captained his team during his senior season along with Co-CEO John Malone. After completing his undergraduate studies, he went on to graduate school and received his Master's Degree in Taxation from Bentley. His professional experience includes working for public accounting firms as well as in privately held companies. Throughout his career, Greg has developed a strong passion for helping individuals and small businesses navigate their most complex challenges. He is a strong believer in entrepreneurship and has a passion for studying successful entrepreneurs in all industries. Outside of the firm, Greg is an avid (and spoiled) Boston sports fan, CrossFit enthusiast, podcast junkie and enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

John Malone is the Co-CEO of Anomaly. He focuses on complex client issues as well as leads the company's operations and management team. John is a multi-faceted advisor with a passion for working with entrepreneurial clients and early stage businesses as they navigate complex tax and financial issues. John understands that your business and life are intertwined, requiring a management strategy that considers the right now in conjunction with your company's financial longevity and wellbeing.
John is dialed in on his clients’ futures, centering his approach around proactive and advanced tax planning. John is a Certified Tax Coach as designated by the American Institute of Certified Tax Planners. Along with Co-CEO Greg O'Brien, John has been instrumental in educating other tax accountants in Short Term Rental Taxation and the so called "short term rental loophole". With this background, he aims to provide innovative solutions to the ever-changing tax landscape. John is also an Attorney that has been recognized as a “Rising Star” each year from 2018 through 2022 by the Massachusetts Super Lawyers Magazine. John understands the drive behind entrepreneurs and their startup ventures. He maintained a full-time job while attending Suffolk University Law School in the evenings after graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Economics & Finance from Bentley University, where he captained the University's Division 2 football team. John remains professionally and personally driven in all aspects of his life today. He is dedicated to his family, health and fitness, and all things Boston sports.

Jenni graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BA in communications and went on to the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and earned an MS in Accounting. After graduating she worked for Arthur Andersen in the State and Local Tax Department. After leaving, she worked in the corporate tax world for a few more years before taking some time away from work to start a family. When all 4 kids, three boys and one girl, were in grade school she decided to reenter the workforce at a small local accounting firm. This is where her passion to work with small businesses began.
Jenni enjoys working with small businesses because she knows how important it is for a business to have an accurate set of books and to timely file their taxes. She likes to build a solid and trusting relationship with her clients so they will trust her with the finances while they use their passion to grow their business. Fall is her favorite time of year, not only does she get to watch her daughter play soccer and her son in the Marching Band, but she also likes to cheer on her favorite football teams with her family. Her two oldest boys are in college now, so she has learned to cheer for the University of Tennessee and the University of Iowa but her heart will always belong to Wisconsin. Go Badgers! Go Pack Go!"

Michelle joined Anomaly as Director of Quality Control & Advisory with over 15 years of tax and accounting experience. She has served many roles in both public and private capacities, within a variety of industries, including manufacturing, construction, not-for-profit, governmental, and many more. Michelle’s broad experiences as a former CFO, auditor, tax preparer, and general business consultant, are valued resources we are excited to offer our clients. Outside of work, Michelle, her husband, and children enjoy being outdoors as well as serving in their community. She is an active member of her church and serves in a variety of roles for community not-for-profits. Baseball is her speed in sports and coming originally from southern California, she is a faithful Dodgers fan.

Byron Critides is the Director of Innovation and IT at Anomaly. Byron brings a diverse background in the technology field, including working with tech startups and various accounting firms over the years. In an industry ripe for innovation, Byron pushes the bounds each day and introduced new, fresh and exciting ideas to save our clients time and money!
Ben is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Business (accounting emphasis). Post-graduation, he worked in assurance as a financial statement, federal awards compliance, and employee benefit plan auditor for a nationally and internationally present advisory, tax, and assurance firm. During this time, he also became a licensed certified public accountant. Eventually, Ben transitioned into owning and operating his own accounting practice, focusing mainly on monthly accounting and tax preparation services for small businesses and individuals. He brought this accounting and business experience with him when he joined Anomaly.
Ben excels in weaving new technology into the back office function of innovating businesses. He brings this skill set and acumen to his role as an Operations Specialist where he aids clients in optimizing their accounting functions with technology. Outside of the office, Ben enjoys being active, reading, and spending time with his family and friends as well as rooting for the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Ariana especially loves helping new our clients take charge of their business finances, and straighten out their books so that their financials are both readable and useful! Her experience also includes private accounting doing internal audit and sales tax work for some big name manufacturing companies.
She has specialized knowledge in sales tax, sales tax audits, payroll tax & IRS audits, and tax resolution. She has worked with members of congress and on cases that have gone all the way to the US court of appeals, and helped turn around small businesses on the brink of financial collapse. Outside of work, she is married with three beautiful children and is a proud Army mom. She is an avid Texas Rangers fan and loves all things baseball. She loves to craft and is always working on the next project which is likely covered with bright colors and glitter.

Her professional experience includes business and individual tax planning and preparation, bookkeeping, accounting and governmental auditing. Outside of work, Zoe does not care so much about watching American football or any other sports, but as a former soccer player herself, is a big fan of the US Women's Soccer team! She and her husband are proud dog parents to the best pup in the world, Riley.

Kim was born and raised in Canada and has been in the USA for 24 years. She has owned her own computer business for 12 years and began her interest in accounting back when paper and an adding machine were the main tools. Outside of work, Kim has a 16 year old son, and has keen interest in children’s welfare having been a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for four years. She is an avid music listener and enjoys everything from country to hip hop. One of Kim’s hobbies includes collecting baseball cards and refinishing old furniture.

Carina Galindo is an Accounting Project Manager with Anomaly. She resides in West Texas where she acquired her advanced accounting and payroll knowledge. Before Anomaly, Carina gained eight years of accounting experience working as an internal accountant for Oil & Gas Industry Operators and a local public accounting firm.
Spring is her favorite time of year, she enjoys watching her boys play soccer and delights in various outdoor activities which include going to the mountains to fish and UTV off-roading with her family.
Xiaoyu (Monica) Zhao moved from China to the US in pursuit of education in the field of accounting. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Kent State University, she relocated to sunny Tucson so that she could go on to earn a Master of Accounting at the University of Arizona. After extensive experience as a tax associate at a large CPA firm, Monica joined a local accounting firm as a senior accountant, bringing her professional experience and passion to help small business owners in need of tax and financial statement services.
Monica joined Anomaly as an Accounting Project Manager bringing her variety of experience in the accounting field. Monica enjoys organizing complex accounting information and helping business owners develop sound operating strategies. Beyond her professional life, Monica has a fondness for travel. While working towards her master’s degree in Tucson she met her husband and together they completed a life goal of a road trip along Route 66. She would one day like to visit all 50 states.

Jasmine Brock currently serves as the Project Tax Manager at Anomaly. Hailing from a small town in Arkansas, she spent her formative years in Austin, Texas. Her academic journey led her to Texas State University, where she successfully earned three bachelor's degrees in finance, accounting, and management. Beyond her professional pursuits, Jasmine exhibits a profound commitment to community service. During her leisure time, you'll find her actively engaged in teaching local gardening courses, offering mentorship to teenage students, or embarking on travel adventures.

Outside of work hours you will often find Candice with her children either hiking, playing kickball, or relaxing by herself with a good book. Her Army experience has allowed her to see the world and the country, but she has settled down now in sunny Florida.

Christian is an Enrolled Agent, who is empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service for audits, collections, and appeals. Christian is from the Golden State of California, where he currently studies at Cal Baptist University to earn his Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Upon graduation, Christian plans to continue his academic endeavor in the study of Taxation, by earning a master's in the emphasis.
Christian has worked in the tax industry for several years now with the majority of his experience coming from tax resolution. With Christian's experience, he is a delight to have on an accounting team, and as your tax advisor. Outside of work, Christian loves spending time with his wife, attending church, watching movies, and traveling. He also loves his two dogs.
